A wallet snapshot needs cost, value, and status together

A wallet dashboard can show a green percentage and still leave out the field you need. Current value, entry cost, realized PnL, unrealized PnL, and position status describe different parts of the same position.

One number cannot tell you whether cash is available, exposure remains, or the result is already final.

Start with the balance

Record current size in shares, the selected outcome, and the market identifiers. A balance is the position you hold; it is not the same as the price used to mark it.

Keep the current price and current value beside the timestamp. A marked value can move without any new trade from your wallet.

Reconcile cost and fees

Use entry cost and entry fees according to the field definitions. If total cost already includes entry fees, do not subtract the same fees a second time when calculating performance.

Write the formula in the journal so a later review can distinguish an accounting choice from a market move.

Separate realized from unrealized

Realized PnL describes closed activity. Unrealized PnL describes the difference between the current mark and the recorded entry cost for exposure that remains open.

Check the position status, redeemable flag, and mergeable flag before calling a result final. A closed row and an open row should not be ranked by the same shortcut.

Take a dated snapshot

Save the wallet address, condition ID, outcome ID, last activity time, and the values you read. When a number changes, you can tell whether the balance changed, the market price changed, or a position moved to a new status.

The useful question is not whether the wallet shows a profit percentage. It is whether cost, current value, finality, and remaining exposure all reconcile to the same position.

A note on risk

Prices can change and positions can lose their full value. Examples are educational, not promises of returns.
